Our team has worked with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) on their project to compile reports on the statutory and customary laws pertaining to environment in Pakistan. We also advised CPC International Inc, USA on environmental laws and regulations (national, provincial and local) in Pakistan governing manufacturing operations, particularly in connection with approaches to dispose of wastewater at the Pernawan Plant, requirements of local permits, discharge standards/chemical parameters, cleaning up of industrial contamination, enforcement of laws etc. The Firm also revised the Pakistan Chapter of Sweet & Maxwell’s Environmental Laws in the Asia Pacific Region. The Firm has worked on several petitions to the Lahore High Court concerning air and noise pollution.
